Giant Garden Objects

Project: The Giant Ant and Fork – Butterfly World

Lucking and Clark were involved in the structural design of giant like garden objects, for the contemporary gardens. These included: 8.5m tall Giant Hand Fork, 6m Giant Seed Packet and 8m long by 3.5m tall Giant Ant with 4.5m Skeletal Leaf.

The idea was that these objects will help to portray the life seen and lived by the insects in our own back gardens.

To keep to the spirit, the objects were scaled up and had to remain as true to their original proportions as possible, therefore the size of the structural members was strongly governed by the slenderness of the objects.
