Holland Villas Road

L&C Engineers were appointed by the main contractor to design a double depth basement to the rear of the existing property following the preparation of Design Intent documentation from the Clients design team.  Construction was challenging as access was difficult and the ground water level was approximately 2m from the surface.  Secant piles were installed to the perimeter of the excavation and a concrete box was installed ‘top down’.  The whole structure was then buried beneath 1m of soil in accordance with the planning conditions.
