Tom Dembry

Tom graduated in 2013 with an honour’s degree in Civil Engineering from Teesside University. After graduating, Tom worked for a multidisciplinary engineering consultancy based in the Midlands for 5 years, before joining L+C as a project engineer in 2018.

In his 5 years working in the Midlands, Tom was involved on several medium to large projects across various building sectors, working closely with other members of the design team, and developing a strong understanding of coordination required between the different disciplines.

Having worked on several framework contracts, Tom was able to develop good relationships with the regular Clients by helping them deliver multiple projects, particularly in the commercial sector, where he has designed several new-build and large store refurbishments. Additionally, Tom has significant experience in the industrial sector working on alterations to industrial buildings across the automotive sector, often on structures of significant age.

Tom is a Chartered Member of the Institute of Structural Engineers.

Working on all stages of a project from initial concept to detailed design, as well as intricate temporary works, in his time at L+C he has progressed to become an Associate of the practice, continuing to work on major refurbishment projects and large temporary works schemes as well as working on special architecturally focused structures such as bespoke staircases.
