This project involved part-refurbishment and part-rebuild of an existing Grade II listed retail and office building. Part of the existing building has been demolished and reconstructed to maximise retail and office space. The basement has been lowered by 2m, the existing second and third floor levels have been demolished and relocated, and some loadbearing walls within the floor plates at all levels have been removed to provide open-plan flexible accommodation.

L+C were appointed by ISG as temporary works engineers for this complicated project.  Our role involved development of a detailed construction sequence, design of all necessary temporary works and submission of information for party wall awards.
